Okay guilty pleasure time. I am a HUGE Guiding Light fan. Much like my Utah Jazz babies, the show has had their ups and downs. Moments of greatness and moments you wanted to close your eyes. But here lately the show has been so good!
My favorite storyline right now is of course, the return of Phillip Spaulding (Grant Aleksander). I would say I'm a Phillip fan but not a huge fan. But boy, you don't realize what you had until he came back. One of the most dynamic characters ever to grace Springfield, his presence has been sorely missed. I actually only knew Phillip through his budding relationship with Harley so when Beth came back to mess them up I didn't care for her or Lizzie.
Beth has actually grown up and I think she's way more interesting as a law student than a stay at home mom. He has links with characters that are vastly underused on the show- Blake, Rick, Alex to name a few. His relationship with Lizzie has been sad and real.
Long story short, if you haven't turned in to the show recently, you are missing out! Come back to the light!
